Capsule labels can look simple, but several different numbers may appear on the same package. Capsule count, approximate fill weight, serving information, net contents, and laboratory measurements do not mean the same thing.
Kiody’s current capsule line is intended for adults 21 and older. Each product contains 100 capsules per bag, filled with pure-leaf kratom powder, at approximately 500 mg of leaf powder per capsule. The words “approximately 500 mg” describe the estimated fill weight of one capsule. They are not a serving recommendation and do not establish the product’s chemistry, strength, or effects.
The finished pouch remains the source of truth for ingredients, the capsule shell, serving information, warnings, lot identification, and required constituent declarations. If a website and a pouch ever disagree, stop and contact Kiody before relying on either one.
The numbers on a capsule label are not interchangeable

1. Capsule count
“100 capsules” means there should be 100 individual capsule units in the sealed package. It does not automatically mean 100 servings. Servings per container depend on the serving size printed on the finished label.
Count is also separate from price comparisons. Comparing two products only by capsule count can be misleading when capsule size, fill weight, ingredients, or product format differ.
2. Approximate fill weight
Kiody describes each current capsule as containing approximately 500 mg of pure-leaf kratom powder. “Approximately” matters: capsule filling and botanical powders have normal manufacturing variation, and 500 mg is a rounded fill statement rather than a promise that every individual capsule weighs exactly the same.
The fill statement refers to the botanical powder inside the capsule. It should not be used to infer the shell material or the finished capsule’s total weight. The shell is a separate ingredient and must be identified from the finished package.
Do not replace the package’s declared net contents with arithmetic. Multiplying a rounded per-capsule estimate by the capsule count may produce a rough mathematical estimate, but it is not a substitute for the legally controlled net-contents statement on the pouch.
3. Serving information
Fill weight and serving size answer different questions. Fill weight describes what is inside a capsule. Serving size is the quantity the manufacturer defines for the label’s serving panel and related declarations.
Colorado’s kratom-product labeling rules require serving information, including the recommended amount per serving, servings per package, and the maximum recommended servings within 24 hours. Those fields must come from Kiody’s approved finished label. This educational page should never improvise them or convert the approximate fill weight into directions.
Consumers should read the complete label before opening the package and should not assume that a serving statement from another brand, another format, or another Kiody product applies.
4. Ingredients and capsule shell
“Pure-leaf kratom powder” describes the capsule fill. It does not identify the capsule shell. Shells may use different materials, and that distinction can matter to people checking dietary or allergy-related information.
The ingredient list should identify the botanical material and every other ingredient used in the finished product, including the shell as applicable. Kiody’s website should reproduce the exact finished-package ingredient wording only after the shell specification is confirmed. Until then, the product pages should direct customers to the pouch and Kiody support rather than guessing.
“Pure leaf” also does not mean chemically standardized, contaminant-free, risk-free, or medically appropriate. It distinguishes the botanical leaf-powder format from products marketed as extracts, enhanced blends, or concentrated 7-hydroxymitragynine products.
Pure-leaf capsules are not concentrated 7-OH products
Kratom leaf naturally contains multiple constituents. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration distinguishes natural kratom leaf containing trace levels of 7-hydroxymitragynine from concentrated or isolated 7-OH products. A product’s format should therefore be stated clearly rather than leaving shoppers to infer it from a color name, capsule count, or package design.
For Kiody capsules, use the factual format description pure-leaf kratom powder in capsules. Do not call them extracts, enhanced capsules, concentrated 7-OH, or “stronger” versions unless the physical product and legally reviewed label actually support that statement.
Colorado law also requires quantitative declarations for mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine per serving and restricts certain product compositions. Those values are batch- and label-controlled facts. They should be copied from approved documentation, not calculated from the capsule’s approximate fill weight.
How to read a Kiody capsule pouch
Use this sequence to identify the product and its records. It is a label-reading checklist, not usage advice.
Step 1: Match the exact product name
Check the full color and variety name, such as Green Bali Kratom Capsules or Red Maeng Da Kratom Capsules. A color or variety name is a catalog identifier. It is not a scientific guarantee of effects.
The website title, pouch front, cart, checkout, order email, and batch report should use the same product name. Small wording differences can make it harder to verify the right lot.
Step 2: Confirm the product format
Look for a clear statement that the product is a capsule containing pure-leaf kratom powder. Do not assume that every kratom capsule on the market is plain leaf. Some products use extracts, blends, or added constituents.
Step 3: Read count and fill separately
Confirm both facts:
- Package count: 100 capsules.
- Approximate fill: approximately 500 mg of pure-leaf kratom powder per capsule.
Neither statement should be presented as a direction for use.
Step 4: Read the full ingredient list
Check the botanical ingredient and the capsule-shell material. People with dietary, religious, or allergy-related requirements should not rely on a photograph of the front panel alone.
Step 5: Use the label’s serving panel
Locate the serving size, servings per package, and maximum recommended servings in 24 hours. Do not construct directions from capsule count or fill weight. If the serving panel is damaged, missing, or inconsistent with the website, contact Kiody before using the product.
Step 6: Find the warnings
Read every warning on the finished package. Kiody products are for adults 21 and older. The website should reproduce current warnings accurately and should not shorten them into marketing language.
Step 7: Locate the quantitative declarations
Find the declared mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine amounts and note whether the label expresses them per serving. These numbers describe measured or specified constituents on the stated basis; they are not benefit claims.
Step 8: Match the lot or batch code
Find the lot or batch identifier on the pouch. Use that identifier—not only the variety name—to locate the corresponding report or ask Kiody support for assistance.
A report for one lot should not be represented as the report for every package of the same variety. If the code on the pouch and the report do not match, contact support.
Step 9: Check dates, storage, and company information
Read the printed date terminology exactly as the package defines it. Do not assume that an unlabeled date is a manufacturing, best-by, or expiration date. Follow the package’s storage statement and use the listed company contact information for questions.
Capsules and loose powder: compare the label, not assumptions
Capsules and loose powder may contain the same type of botanical material while differing in packaging, shell ingredients, count, fill presentation, serving panel, and net contents. The capsule format should not be described as more effective, faster, slower, stronger, safer, or more precise without appropriate evidence and approved language.
For a useful comparison, check:
- exact product and variety name;
- leaf, extract, enhanced, or blended format;
- ingredient list;
- net contents or capsule count;
- label-defined serving information;
- quantitative mitragynine and 7-OH declarations;
- warnings;
- lot code and matching report.
When to stop and contact Kiody
Do not rely on a product page or package when:
- the tamper evidence appears broken;
- the product name on the pouch does not match the order;
- the ingredient list or serving panel is missing or unreadable;
- the website and finished pouch conflict;
- the lot code is absent, damaged, or does not match the available report;
- the capsule count is materially different from the package statement;
- the capsules or pouch show unusual damage, moisture, odor, or contamination concerns; or
- you need ingredient or interaction information that the label does not answer.
Keep the pouch, lot code, order number, and clear photographs available when contacting support.
Frequently asked questions
Does approximately 500 mg per capsule mean one capsule is a serving?
No. Approximately 500 mg describes the estimated leaf-powder fill in one capsule. The serving size is a separate statement on the finished label.
Does a 100-count pouch contain 100 servings?
Not necessarily. It contains 100 capsule units. The number of servings depends on the serving size defined on the label.
Is every capsule exactly 500 mg?
No exact individual weight is promised by the word “approximately.” Botanical powder and capsule-filling processes can have ordinary variation. Use the finished package’s controlled declarations.
Can I calculate the package’s net contents from 100 capsules at approximately 500 mg each?
That multiplication gives only a rough estimate because the per-capsule number is approximate and the shell is separate. Use the net-contents statement printed on the approved pouch.
What is the Kiody capsule shell made from?
Read the ingredient list on the finished pouch. Kiody should add the verified shell material to every capsule product page only after the supplier and finished label are confirmed.
Does “pure leaf” mean the product is an extract?
No. In this context, pure-leaf kratom powder identifies the botanical leaf-powder fill and distinguishes it from an extract or enhanced product. It is not a medical, safety, purity, or potency guarantee.
Do Green, Red, and White names guarantee different effects?
No. They are catalog color-family and variety names, not guaranteed effect categories. Product pages should avoid promising energy, relaxation, relief, potency, or other outcomes based on those names.
How do I find the right batch report?
Match the lot or batch code printed on your pouch with the identifier on the report. If Kiody’s report finder does not return an exact match, contact support with the code and order information.
